Waddup, mangz.

You know what I realized last week? Lotta tingz, yo.

But pertinent to this thread, I realized that every single
one of the close friends that I've ever had has done drugs.
Even my best friend from elementary school- we met up a few
years ago after 20 years or someshit, and we smoked up
outside of the Walt Disney Concert Hall (which is across the
street from my elementary school era condo, so that was
trippy and nostalgic and whatevz). Yah, okay- weed is not
meth+crack+pcp, but you get the point.

Anyway- how about you folk? Do all your friends do drugs or
used to do drugs?

One of the main patterns with my friends (and myself) seem
to be a lot of drug usage during younger years and being an
angry kid, and then the drug use becomes more responsible or
basically nothing but maybe ganj; character maturing and
becoming a respectable human being and fighting against the
bullshit and negative vibez that we used to carry when
younger.

Also- music. Lot of the same music tastes, etc.

Why is it like, anyone who's good at blues, jazz, or funk-
high percentage smokes weed? The ones who don't are the
stiff ones who clinically remember tunes and playback
sterile shit, and the ones who smoke are more into jamming
and improv. Granted, these are generalizations, but not
untrue.

And basically every single electronic music genre is related
to substance-enjoying subculture. I was gonna end this with
a comment about smoking up with Benn Jordan prolly being a
waste of weed, but then I realized- nah, maybe he's all
right.

Friends was alright and I really liked Rachel and Ross, but
it wasn't as good as Cheers.

I remember watching the first episodes of Friends when it
first aired. Around that time I was training martial arts,
punching a rough punching bag with no gloves, and practicing
card magic. Around that time I also sat on a hard arm rest
of a couch, twice. What I mean by "sat on" is that I
slammed my ass down hard on it thinking it was cushioned,
and I cried. I think from those times, I might've skewed my
tailbone. I've never got it x-rayed, but perhaps I will get
it checked out in my 40's or 60's, when I am more rippling
with muscle.

This was 8th grade, after getting kicked out of boarding
school for threatening the kitchen lady.

Also, this girl Christina lived across the street from me,
and she used to invite me over for sexings, which my friend
Keoni took up on, but I was more nervous and teehee about
girls. Like 15 years later, I heard she became a stripper,
and it makes me realize maybe her house situation was not
the best, being an 8th grade girl and random boys over for
tingle fun time.

I have mixed feelings about growing up around a bunch of pot
heads and drug users. I smoked a bit of weed the other day,
after maybe 4 or 5 months of smoking nothing. It doesn't
matter to me anymore. It's all just a preoccupation. I'd
rather be clear minded these days, or on a hallucinogenic,
and focused on living, doing shit. Way too much time wasted
getting high and forgetting I am everything, always.

very little effort to say that I'm done being a chronic,
after being one for 25 some years

One of my best friends, who I've known for over 25 years
only drinks.

Bless him through, during our teens I did everything I could
to get him to smoke a spliff with me. He won't touch
anything.

My girlfriend has only ever smoked weed. Doesn't drink.

As for everyone else important to me, they've all dabbled,
and some still do!

Ooooh, have you got a girlfriend? Good for you. Good for
her?!?!?!

Me and my friends are bound by booze. When I went to ART
SCHOOL the guy I met that was most influential to me was
quite anti-drugs (but not booze, obvs), so I never really
went down the drug route. The one time I had anything Class
A was followed by 8 years of near-continuous panic attacks
and agoraphobia. When I foolishly tried "spliff" when I
still wasn't 100% myself again, I felt like I was in some
panicked Powerpoint presentation, where every millisecond
was a new slide. No psychoactives for me, thanks.

Most of my close friends have done drugs in some form or
another. But not all. My favorite memories from high school
are of time spent with the ones who did, though.

I used to smoke ungodly amounts of weed, thought it was a
panacea for my problems. It only fucked my life up worse
(though it was always fun in the short term; that's the
danger). I've grown to a place now where I probably could
use it responsibly, but the damage it did to my lungs is so
great that years after quitting I am still feeling the
affects. People treat it practically as a health food in
some circles but the truth is that smoking anything in
excess causes lung damage. I just hope that, in time, I'm
able to recover without developing cancer.

I would do mushrooms again if I could get them. Or
DMT/Ayahuasca. I believe that psychedelics when used
somberly/ritually (rather than recreational) can have
profound corrective and life-improving affects. My life now
is about becoming a more complete human being and growing
stronger every day. Most drugs will only undo what I've
worked to build.

At your age, it takes about 3 years for your lungs to
completely clean themselves out. I wouldn't worry about
developing anything serious!

I'm happy to read that many of you lot are on the path of
righteousness and Ultra. Weed is but a tool, and not
everyone wants to use such a tool for their path. Every
drug and food is but a tool! But ganj... It's like doing
origami and having your friend who loves wrenches trying to
get you to use a wrench for your origami. Just gon' fuck
shit up.

That being said, ganj is one of my favorite things. I've
smoked only once in the past 2+ years (after years of
permastone lifestyle), but still, I think it can be great.
That being said, I'm definitely more of an indica man than
sativa. A strong indica versus a strong sativa-- they're
like totally, totally different substances. So I feel bad
for those who could greatly benefit from weed, but they had
bad experiences smoking "the wrong type".

Also, in Tokyo ganj is like $50/g, so it makes me not give a
shit. The only hardcore stoners here are people with good
jobs, which is fucking hilarious, cuz in USA/UK, stereotype
is that hardcore stoners are all sleeping on other people's
couches, being dirty, being poor. In Tokyo, hardcore
stoners got their shit together, and they're extremely
responsible to maintain work and get shit done. No time for
laziness if you need to spend $3000/month on smoking up.

I think alcohol and stimulant drugs are a waste of time
especially if your into creative stuff, it kills off
motivation. I've been looking into alternative ethnobotany,
like chewing coca leaves, kratom, khat etc I think a low
dose of kratom is good it makes me really motivated and with
a clear mind. coca seems really interesting, but getting
the leaves isn't easy.

From what I've seen on da interwebnetz superhighwayz--
blotter acid is coming back. Who is making it, I dunno.
Also, lotta LSD-esque research chemz out there.

In 1998 or so, I bought a sheet of acid for $275. I don't
think it's that affordable nowadays. In 2000's, there was a
lot of liquid acid floating around. But, glad to see
blotter making a comeback. I feel it's the peak of the

I believe AKB48- the group- was actually named after the
synthetic cannabinoid. There was also a j-pop group from
the late 90's called Speed. J-pop and yakuza are closely
tied together, so I feel these things are kind of a *wink
wink* to themselves.
