First one was very smart. Every bit Breaking Bad and just as an episode for Saul. Perfect start...
Really hope Twin Peaks revival is the same.

anyone still keeping up with this? just as good as breaking bad imo, nearing the end of season 4 now and it's been compelling all the way. can't wait for the finale! post speculation/praise/arsey aloofness here

Love the characters and different feel compared to BB, but I definitely rate BB more.

If breaking didn’t become as big and « mainstream popular » and was an underground show known by few, I’d bet ten black peters you wouldn’t be so certain. BCS is ace, a great show that doesn’t patronise it’s audience. Still though. I think you just want to be cool, big!

so could it have been written the other way around: BCS before BB, would be the question
BCS is harder to write, plotwise and character wise, and is more original. well the plot isn't that important in BCS. but BB is just the epic track that's easier to write than a track for which you have to partly invent the language

Look, who wrote it when and why isn’t that relevant to me. What I understand is that BB maybe became too big and people who loved it now forget how brilliant it actually was/is. Anyway vince isn’t a one trick pony and I guess on that we can both agree, hug, and roll in the mud.

Lynch for example is not one to praise a show, especially modern, in interviews. Yet he admitted to Breaking Bad being an influence on the recent Twin Peaks season. It made me realise how the success of BB, and subsequent drop into the mainstream had tinted my glasses (I don’t wear glasses; mo) a bit. The fact that any lame cunt was now praising the show had somehow made it less fresh to me. I had forgotten how fantastic the show really was. Maybe this doesn’t influence your view at all, I’m just making sure!

Season three is possibly the greatest “thing” ever put to film (so to speak). I watched the first two again before the last one came out and had fun revisiting it. I was already a big fan, but this latest one is just everything I ever wanted (but didn’t know) from something put to screen. Watched it with my wife. And then binged in it alone a second time. The second viewing was so good I’m pumped to go through the 18 hours again. I discovered a lot more on the second viewing, which already is a good thing, but totally know my third will unfold it all for me even more. It’s a show three people can watch together, and you know each person will see something different.

Oddly the other day Wild at Heart was on telly and I was excited to revisit it. I actually stopped watching. I was tired which didn’t help, but of all his movies I feel this is the only one that’s aged badly. Nicholas Cage doesn’t help matters. Blue Velvet on the other hand didn’t do that to me when I saw it 25 years later.
Anyway sorry, this is all a bit passive. You’re a cum guzzler, an anal piss keeper, and a rim slave.
