What a great movie. I am a HUGE fan of Paul Thomas
Anderson, he has reached new heights with this one.

Only along the lines of marijuana use...other than that, BL
never really crossed my mind when watching this.

IV was really fun to see.

I'm excited to see this! Have you read the book? If so how
does it compare in terms of tone?

PTA certainly knows his bit about drugs.

Not read the book but as a film I thought this was a bit of
a mess. Like a sloppy Lebowski without the laughs. Still a
decent watch though.

Will give the book a read in the hope it fills in what the
film lacks.

You confuse me there!

Ended up watching The Interview coz you gave it a 6.5, and I
really trusted you when you had the stormtrooper avatar. I
thought it was alright, light hearted fun. Thing that struck
me though is how shit Seth Rogen is in it. He's meant to be
the poor sod upon whom all the shit falls, and yet you never
feel sorry for him.

It has similar oddball characters and feel in its
adventure, but it's plot isn't tightly constructed and
rambles a bit. Neither is it as filled with a similar level
of laughs and memorable quotes.

It falls well short of The Big Lebowski but then that is
possibly the perfect film.

Agree about Seth Rogan. Best actor in The Interview was
Eminem.
