i can´t get it. i heard the other day a lot of folks here talking ´bout how crappy drukqs was. i know Ãt´s been already discussed, but i like it a lot. of course, it´s got about 1/3 of a soul compared to ICBYD or the Richard D, but it still is awesome in it´s technical way. i laugh at it all sometimes, ´cause at warp, at reflex.com and even here, everybody claimed it as a masterpiece when it came out, and now some of ´em say that Richard´s too stuck_up about his "fame" and we shouldn´t swallow everything he releases.........blablablablabla......i just wanted to point out that it´s a great album.......anyway...... *wee boy tired* *starts to mumble*....... |

music is so subjective.....i think Drukqs is AMAZING, but i have seen other people call it shite. and the piano pieces that everyone dislikes are some of my favourites...eheheh *registers a YES vote for drukqs* *you look tired wee_boy* =) |

I agree with you in a sense....some of the songs (Metaphase 6, Vordhosbn, ziggomatic v17) are in my opinion, some of RDJ's best work. Although, since most of the album sounds like RDJ just sat on his syntheizers and recoreded the results, I can't really give it that good of a review. The Onion's AV club had the most fair review of it, I think. The album would have been amazing if RDJ just took out a lot of the songs that where just him playing around. |
