Lots of protests/marches/etc today
I'm in the geosciences and work in industry. People like me are in an awkward position. My science training tells me that we could well be facing a serious issue over the coming centuries, which really should be addressed. Most of the so-called climate skeptics are clutching at straws or talking shite. But on the other hand, there are plenty of nutters in the activist community, and probably at these marches too, who lump in climate change concern with all sorts of political crap, plus barely-related and bullshit issues like shale gas scaremongery.
what to do?

Climate change and IDM are closely connected. Imagine all the random mofoz who will be making phuture musiqz in post-apocalyptic world-- well IDM, mang.
"Record labels don't even exist, and I'm still making phuture sonics."
As MC Hammer once notably stated: 2 LEGIT 2 QUIT
