I got ep7 a while ago and thought it was strange that the CD took about 3 or 4 seconds to start. Then today, while browsing the great discography over at autechre.nu, I came across some info about a "hidden track" on ep7. After trying to rewind past the first track on 3 CD players in my house (there are more, I'll still try) none of them would let me rewind past 0:00. What am I doing wrong??? |

Which pressing do you have? The Warp (UK) version should allow you to do this. The hidden track was left off the Nothing (USA) version. |

You probably have a different edition.... Mine works just fine! |

I nearly got stuck with the Nothing release, but remembered that bit just as I was about to open it. Took it back, ordered the UK release. |

phatbert 000-----they all have the hidden track (if im correct) but not all players will play them i have the cd and my car cd player wont computer at work wont stereo at work wont my wives car stereo wont but here radio at work will.......... go figure? |

I bought it off amazon.de so it's definitely not a USA version. Usually Warp's releases have Zomba or Rough Trade on them here. This one says this on the side of the CD: autechre.ep7.ae production booth/brown.p+c1999warp records ltd.published by warp music/electric and musical industries.5021603120068 The slashes are in the other direction but I couldn't be arsed to find where that key is. |

The US version does not have the hidden track. Unless they've fixed it since I acquired my copy. |

Hooray! The one downstairs in the sitting room (fifth one I tried) worked! Except I can't go down and listen to it now cos TV is bein watched in that room. Have to check it out later. I also got Anvil Vapre today, my third Ae CD. I'm lovin it! The bass is unbelievable. |

i know my dad's sony discman from about 5 years back does the trick and my mom's home stereo from about 13 years back does it too, my friend has a '02 civic and that one can as well. the only reason i know about cds with super secret hidden extra special type tracks not listed was about 5 years ago with a "LESS THAN JAKE" cd 'losing streak' on my mom's home stereo for some reason it started the cd in the negatives (track: -01 / time: -2:30) then i remeber it did it several years later to my "311" cd 'transistor'. nobody believes me that cds can have them. |
