Heavy-handed in that their military operations in Gaza involve shelling a heavily-populated walled-off area, in which civilians have a minimal chance of fleeing. Yes they are being hit by rockets launched by medieval twats. But it should be pretty fucking obvious by now that their usual tactics make the problem worse, not better. Also the settlements in the West Bank are bullshit, built on land seized by political means. If Jewish individuals wanted to live in the West Bank and build their own village privately, on land purchased above-board, I would have no problem. But it is being sanctioned by state violence. And yes I despise all political walls wherever they are, all walls that impede movement of humans for made-up nationalist/political reasons are immoral. That includes the Egyptian wall and the wall in Texas on the Mexican border. The difference is, unlike Egypt, Texas et al which are unanimously known as extremist-infested crapholes, Israel has pretensions of being a civilized developed country. That kind of nationalism needs to be stamped out the world over.
