Seems like it wasn't build to last. Miss those days when Warp was bringing out classic stuff every other week and whole thing was moving forward. Then came the Druqks and now we have Juicy J and VHS Head.
How come the Uk burns out genres so fast? Same with dubstep.

i think the artists just got bored of making music or they ran out of ideas for music.... every thing has to reach there highest production level somewhere and maybe that peaks past already. and the ppl with ideas for new music now use those ideas in a different style of music...cuz they dont want to make the same music as the past

yes its a natural cycle i guess, does anybody here do the same arts, crafts or work, they´ve done 10 to 15 years ago? life changes alot in such a period of time. the same people that defined a genre want to do different things, eventually stop making/putting things out and the next generation has a different approach.

apart from the hyped phase where many of us discovered huge named artists, theres still plenty of other artists reminiscing almost any thinkable form of electronic music. i dont have numbers to present but i dont think the amount of music being put out would have decreased.
plus we have internet radio now to help discover or just enjoy all the past and present gems :)
