im making super 8 films all the time at the moment with my college work and everything!
the films are usualy about 15 mins long and cost about £11.00 here in merry england thats KODAK films (the cost of the film includes developing fee as well)
remember to read all super 8 focus measurements and lighting situation stuff coz its a real bastard making films that you have to wait ages for the developing only to recieve a real amatuer blurry pile of 15 mins shite?
have you got all the other kit like projectors, editing kit, vhs conversion stuff?
keep on posting coz im getting good at this 8mm malarkhay!

Sounds great dingle berry. Could you be a bit of an advisor to us on this for a while?
We are writing short scenes but we have not yet decide what format to film in. Some stuff will be shot with a small underwater camera, and we could film stuff in DV and DVCAM which is very close to film quality. But i think we have decided to use 8mm for some things. When scenes are written i could inform you about them and you could give us some tips and do´s n donts??

yeah sure id be glad to give advice! isnt there some sort of effect on either a computer or perhaps some form of editing hardware that will let you recreate the super 8 effect without having to even use a super 8?

Yeah now that you mention it.. Might be.. I´m a film school student so i have lots of capabilities, and my teachers are buying maniacs. They buy expensive gear as soon as the money comes in..
Do you have ICQ or an email address?

i´m upnorth in sweden. we´ve got really cool filming locations here. and the darkness is inspiring. the film will be approx. 1 hour long and
you could label it fairly surreal. but its a totally serious deal and we will not stop until we´re satisfied.
