I think i have it in WAV, but i'll need to dig out my old
laptop as i think it is on there. good idea to put together
a compilation

I think maybe this might be more appropriate for a
compilation because it's an easier listen and doesn't have
an intro and i think the overall sound is better

It is never too late. Just look at George W. Bush who is
nowadays shaking up the art world with his paintings.

In the opposing life-event order, Adolf Hitler was an
artist.

It's never too late to be an artist, or world dominator, or

The plastic reverb you put on all of your drum tracks are
how you speak and come across so I suppose that is an honest
representation of you. Honest styles!

a comp.

It's over compressed as it is. It sounds daft to be honest.

I like it Larn, it's a nice piece that modulates subtly but
over time is quite different from where it started.

I'll be collecting in all tracks posted

Marlowe; that's pretty different - but i like it. it has the
honesty of a BMSR-song, but with the sound of floyd

Yo doodz- listened to all tracks in this thread. Nice
stuff, all! Really nice to hear such a variety of styles.

Aaas for the controversial smashed acid track... I was
expecting a brickwall'd block of distortion, but I thought
it was aiight. Maybe a bit flat from limiting ("maybe" cuz
funky stuff can sometimes benefit from up/down fluctuations
in the acid lines, and popping snares, etc.), but the
strings were open and airy. Sonic-aesthetically
(production/EQ wise), this was something like Clark +
Acidwolf, but better than Clark.

If you wanna talk about fucked up limiting and hardcore
multiband compression shit, it's all about Clark. What the
fuck- How can the guy who wrote Diesel Raven become such a
shit?!

Anyway....

Kudos all.

I think in my wretched life I have put together 4 tracks
that I really worked at and hopefully were honest albeit
naive. My personal favourite may not be the most
accomplished but it does sound like something I would
want to hear. If it's been mixed at all then it's clearly
been handled by someone with nothing but contempt for the
listener.

I am making my through the tracks. I really like Khrimson's
"Funky acid rmx" though Jivver is right about the limiting
(if indeed that's what it is, I trust him on that) - it is
harsh on the ear. It's a great track though. I also very
much enjoyed spuclum's "Haunted itching war" and that is
probably my favourite; moody but engaging. Larn's is very
good but a bit oppressive for my tastes, too moody?
Wavephace's track made me genuinely LOL though I am sure
it's not their best track. I will listen to the rest
later.

Faint praise there from Junktion :P It's not appropriate for
your compilation and there is no "superior" version. I just
popped it on your thread in the spirit of the "posting
your best track from your failed career
". But thanks for
listening to a silly old fool's ham-fisted attempt at
Ambient Techno!

Does the track sound cool with just sine waves? (serious

mostly sine wave music (or other waves), and I thought the
results were pretty good)
