below, how to change the default pattern? it doesn't change, even if i push pattern write first. where the sign 'pattern name' is written

I don't really understand your question. When you activate "PATT. WRITE", you should be able to edit each individual note and their properties, using the sequencer.
Are you clicking on each LED in the sequencer to change the note?

is it one of those where sending it a different midi note will start off a different pattern. I always turn off pattern mode on those things anyway

it doesn't change pattern it just change the first note of the default pattern. do you play it yourself?

i still have to do it, however my question is why the buttons 'PREV-LOAD' and 'NEXT-SAVE' don't work, and the pattern in internal sequencer mode is always the same

As horsefactory said, patterns are linked to MIDI note-on values. C5 will play a different pattern to E5.

yeah I prefer being able to trigger the individual samples rather than patterns, it feels a bit like a DubTrubo move to use them

i just skippped pattern write and started to push notes, indeed they were changing the infamous patterns. i also was able to change the notes' characteristics individually by clicking on their led
