I don't really understand your question. When you activate "PATT. WRITE", you should be able to edit each individual note and their properties, using the sequencer. Are you clicking on each LED in the sequencer to change the note? |

is it one of those where sending it a different midi note will start off a different pattern. I always turn off pattern mode on those things anyway |

As horsefactory said, patterns are linked to MIDI note-on values. C5 will play a different pattern to E5. |
