Anyway to give a serious respond: Eclecticism is a good
start. Another one is to transport your conscious or hidden
feelings into the music. Checkste?

And don't intellectualize to much, that is gay. Better think
"Damn I wanna bang this hot bitch, how would the music sound
to that?" or "Man, some creep wants to stab me in the back,
how would the music sound to that?" (possibly like osla for
n).

I thought about learning to play an actual
instrument....maybe a bit theory would also be helpful?

Just buy a guitar and then buy a chord book or look online.
memorize chords, memorize scales.

Experimenting with sound equipment can help with idea
formation. You could maybe start by putting a portable
microphone in your pocket and jumping in front of a moving
train

When I bought my first guitar around 2005, I didn't even
study scales or chords for around a year (I did tune it,
though). What I did do, was just play with it and put my
head against it... feeling its vibez, etc. I even used to
sleep with it- haha- to make some connection. After I got a
feel for it, I just memorized scales, like 5 hrs a day,
until my fingers were numb and fucked up. Memorized chords
before scales.

Aaand, that is my guitar story.

The thing I love about guitar, is that it is so much more
expressive than keyboard. Plus, one reason I bought a
guitar was to play in bed, which is difficult with keyboard
(keyboard on chest?).

Anyway, from years ago...:

random bruz improv

rocker tingz

Buy a guitar, mang. Could save your music soul.

Chords are 3+ notes hit at once. Or sometimes 2.

Scales are notes that fit in a certain vibe. So when you
play those notes, it gives a... vibe.

Ok, i figured this out already, that it sounds better if you
plax 3notes at once. I made my own chords...i think.

I think i should start making music again. I also should
take some piano lessons, even with all the physical and
emotional pain such a plan would bring.

just spend a lot of time in the studio and do what you want.
what you think sounds good. there arent any rules

and record a lot . sounds come to a terminus as soon as you
turn off the source.. a musician that doesnt record is like
a painter hovering the brush above the canvas and never
laying anything down. spend a lot of time in studio and
experiment and record and share

Yah, man- after years of just fucking around with a
keyboard, you'll prolly learn a lot of "musical theory" just
on your own. All that shit is something that just comes
from *feeling music*.

If Stevie Wonder can be funky as fuck without eyeballz-
yeah, you don't need to be able to read/write music to make
it.

But 100% you need heart, or else you end up sounding like
Benn Jordan, who is a robotic clone with barely any
emotional content. He makes Richard Devine feel like
Beethoven.

If this is implying that you KNOW ABOUT STEVIE WONDER, then
you should have no problem with music.

But I do know that his performance of Superstition on Sesame
Street is one of the most funky ass jamz of all time.
FUCKING HOT Boxy and tight as fuck.

I also know that he was once a funk master, but then somehow
he got taken over by his Eivets Rednow smoothness.

Anyway, Stevie Wonder used to be IDM as fuck. He couldn't
even see but owned a Fairlight CMI.
