Society should not attempt to redirect me into what I am
supposed to do. My behavior should be based on autonomous
impulse alone, devoid of outside influence or expectation.

Doesn't that argument fall down on the grounds that the
other individuals who, collectively, comprise society may
well only be acting on their autonomous impulse, so
even if that manifests itself as them, "keeping you down"
you must accept it as equal to your own desires?
