I hope that it is actually quick. The single greatest flaw of the current xbox is that it has fully realised the disadvantages of a PC, namely non-transparent patching, mysterious delays when loading problems, applications crashing and 'bloat'.
Consoles are supposed to be instantaneous and hassle free. If I wanted to constantly fanny around with system updates and reconfiguring the NATing of my router to get it to work properly, I can get paid to do that in my day job. If I was prepared to accept all that shennanigans in my 'down time' I may as well do all my gaming on the PC.

what got me excited about the prospect of 'next gen' was the notion that maybe i could use mods to already existing games, like skyrim (which i've only played on the ps3).
consoles are (basically) computers already, and now with all the new shit they'll add with online-always-this-and-that, new skins and textures for already existing games doesn't seem so far-fetched.

Gone are the days when consoles could do more than your home computer and when arcade games could blow away any console.
Like 50 years from now, your fingernails are gonna have more games installed on it than Wikipedia has articles.
