The news of Kurt Cobain's suicide is a hoax. Just think about how it couldn't be a conspiracy. One man who has the whole world loving him, the news of his death brings about many people loving and appreciating his music even more. Why couldn't it be considered a conspiracy?
Fuck, he's probably living in Miami, Florida, picking up little Cuban sluts on the strip. HAH.

What i don't really get is, he was a talented songwriter and did connect with many people in his audience, but he wasn't a legend by any means. Lyrically he was above par on some occasions, but his muscianship wasn't anything profound, there are dozens of great muscians that die all the time, usually unoticed

A lot of people, especially young people, felt him on the emotional level. Fame is not about the better musician (which is subjective), it's about how many people relate with the music.

it's the whole grunge thing... Nirvana was the band that brought grunge, and I guess alternative music in general, to the mainstream... that put Nirvana at a high level, and thus Kurt Cobain received loads of praise cause he wrote their songs...

jupitah: I realize fame and muscianship don't go hand in hand, which was why i was saying it's too bad that so many other great muscians die without notice. I know Kurt's audience was based off his lyrics as his guitar work was some what lacking, but interesting at points. I just don't see how that many people loved his work when it had its peaks, but was usually mediocre, imo

That's just it tho, it was never mediocre for those like myself who were really feeling Kurt. I loved ever single moment of every Nirvana album. I don't think there was ever a line of his guitar work that wasn't perfect. I look back upon it now and it seems like pretty weak music, but I know it was perfect.

I still think Nirvanas music is perfect. I love it all... I own so much, bootlegs CDs, tapes, videos, concerts, demos...... albums, singles.. man.. really. I still love them. It was different.
It was the last BIG band of our generation. I mean what do we have now? no one that storms the world by force, sure there are some pretty popular bands, but not bands that are being played 24/7 and EVERYONE is talking about... that was Nirvana in the early 90's. Kings.

well i guess you can find perfection in everything, as always it's a matter of opinion, but I am a little biased as I am speaking from a guitar/bass/drumer point of view. So to me his guitar skills weren't anythign out of the ordinary, especially since a lot of it was created by accedent and mistake rather then creation. But I do commend some of his lyrics.
