I think we shouldn't be so quick to judge a new Ae cd right now. Think about it. It's not even out yet and people are already dling it and critiquing it. That's just not fair. And how do you know it's always going to be bad. Some people on here said Confield was horrible...now they're like it's the greatest. Let's just leave whatever cd this turns out to be called and come back after it's release. By then opinions might have changed. |

ok, now its time to lock me up in the nearest mental hospital ;) nah seriously AE have made much better music than this. Im strarting to like Confield more and more....Dial is weak and Gantz Graf is just noise to me (I love when Noise is beatiful tho, like "My Fucking Sound" and a lot of tracks on "Go Plastic") but this is just wack. CAP IV is nice, nice, nice and its worth to cop this EP just for this track alone :) |

Yeah, definately...I find that a lot with AE especially... The first few listens are a bit odd but suddenly, you find yourself getting really deep into it....Confield was similar..like you have to have time to adjust to the new sounds/structures... |

hmmmmm some part of me still doubts if this is really autechre... i wonder what the video that comes with gantz graf is gonna be like, must be pretty insane cause the track is the oddest thing ae have ever done. but then dial and cap.iv sound genuine..... |

the ep is far from dissapointing. i meen i can't stop listening to cap.iv over and over. At least it's not as uncomfortable as confeild. dial is really quite funky if u listen to it properly. Listened to it on md whilst walking round town, nice :) |

I thought exactly the same, mate...when I heard GG for the first time...those 2 other tracks are soooo much better than GG...GG almost sounds like a parody of an AE track (like some of them fake drukqs tracks that were doing the rounds..)... perhaps the video will make it make more sense... |

heres the absorb review for those who haven't read it... "tight three track ep from those ever-lovable mancunians. actually on initial listens, it does sound like either they've let their hair down a bit, or they're simply taking the piss. what's this i hear, melodies? recognisable rhythms? singing? they're all there in some form, it's just that the dense layers of noise, ear-shredding frequencies and digital mayhem all do their best to drown everything else out. 'gantz graf' gives you breathing space of precisely four seconds before an almighty belch is emitted and they then attempt to condense the whole 'confield' album into four minutes. of course it sounds ace. 'dial' is the most normal sounding track we've heard from them in a while. minimal jungle rhythms ride over alternating bursts of playful arpeggio's. the best is saved for last with the epic 'cap.iv'. orchestral chord structures form the backing while an ever-increasingly complex rhythm builds over ten minutes, climaxing in an almighty intense crescendo. "... After reading that it does sound like they are describing the same thing... "they then attempt to condense the whole 'confield' album into four minutes" desribes GG very well... |

i got tracks from the new ep also... they seem ligit...but the stuff sucks! the first two tracks bite...and cap.iv is the only decent one... gantz graf sucks ass! distorted granular synth....ooooooohhhhhhhh. i wonder if ae actually intended on selling this release or just putting something out for ppl to share via the net... |
