I've seen a lot of 808 discussion on here and I feel safe
in saying we all like our transister riddim eight o eight
boxes.

In this thread I encourage you to share your favorite tr-808
patches. It might help if you name your patches like
"ghetto booty" or "mnml progressive tech trance" to give an
idea of what it sounds like.

in particular I like to tune the BD like: 100, 50, 35.
That gives you a nice poppy BD to cut through some thick
analog basses that you might have from your tb-303 or even
sh-101.

Goldbaby is great.

Yeah Goldbaby is brilliant. Get all his free stuff. His paid
stuff is worth the money too.

One nice thing about his samples is they don't already have
the fuck compressed out of them.

You know how Kontakt can do the round-robin samples in order
to approach that last non-linear bit of analog fuckery?

Is there a hardware sampler that can load his sample packs
and do the same thing?
