Good film. I normally find intentionally 'quirky' stuff like
this grating, rather than charming, but it really worked
well/suited this film.

I enjoyed it, as you say the forced 'quirky' things usually
put me off straight away. I don't need to say this but I
will, a bit like wMw posts.

Wes Anderson peaked at Tenenbaums. Moonrise Kingdom was very
disappointing.

Moonrise Kingdom was way better than TLA

For me it's one of those films you can watch repeatedly and
still enjoy immensely. Just about everything about this film
is appealing. It has this great 'feeling' - a nice
atmosphere and it is funny, for sure. The colours are bright
and appealing inside the imaginary universe with its
imaginary people and animals. I love its grandiosity with
the big boat, explosions and adventure and all that. Plus it
has so many great actors. I usually have a seriously
ridiculous grin on my face while watching it. Pure
entertainment.

It happens to be my favorite Wes Anderson. My friends
opinions are wildly scattered about which is his best.

I like Wes A. movies, The Royal Tenenbaums makes me cry,
reminds me of my fucked up family...anyway the soundtracks
and Mark M. work I think is pretty cool.

Mmm I love it. I used to really love Rushmore but I think I
prefer this now. Moonrise Kingdom was way better than
Darjeeling, maybe 4th behind the other three though.
