turns out modplug had this thingy where you can like, draw points, and it like does stuff to the sound, all along. I'd say its a pretty unintuitive feature after like decades of using it and just finding it now, or I'm retarded. Its just like a wah wah thing or something ie. 1/100 of what fruity poops has, but avoiding stupid right scrolling 'piano rolls' is worth not using any of that other bloat.
