anyone else got into these pretty short books (20 pages long?) they go into the history of various countries along with stories about their rulers and soldiers
some interesting stories:
stalingrad(russian vs german bloodbath)
prussia (beautiful old europe RIP)
japan (tokugawa ieyasu, who taugh the value of waiting for the right moment. he moved to edo(tokyo) where his competitors couldnt see him then let them attack korea and get defeated then he stepped in and his family dominated japan for 300 or400 years)

There was another one, perhaps 'anglo saxons, normans, celts, and picts' with pictures of an old map of britain and wales was listed as WILD WALES
And cornwall was listed as WELSH CORNWALL
I knew that Welsh and Cornish people were distant relatives but I wonder how close they actually were...
any history buffs on here? I'm just getting into this stuff myself but it's fascinating
