Borrowed a friend's for a while and it's lovely. The only gripe i have with it is that it can mostly only be used for one certain type of sound somehow. Some softer higher lead sounds can be done on it too but it'll still sound a bit ontop of everything else. But that can easily be tweaked though. Love playing with the more bassy sounds, controls are a bit buggy but i like how the panel is set up, makes it still easy to tweak eventhough it's all hidden under toggle buttons. I won't buy this myself though personally, for the price and what it can do it's a bit poncy.

thanks Fah for the insight, i really dig your music, what is a piece of gear that you use that you couldn't live without? I have been fool reactor logic guy for years but am looking to start buying hardware. I just got the Evolver and like it so far but i am looking for other types of gear. I was looking at the Prophet 08 but want to look around before i put down that much money.

For me right now it's the Ensoniq ESQ-1, as a polysynth and as a MIDI sequencer it's one of those synths that i'll probably never get rid of. It's a digital synth mind you, but the sounds it can make are incredible. Loads of modulation options and stuff (all controllable through menus on the display though, very little synthesis control on the panel) and it's good for stabby basses, analog alike sounds and my favorite; PADS.
If you're able to stumble upon an SQ-80 instead i'd get that one, since it's a souped up ESQ-1 (even more modulation options!)
