love it. proper dark, twisted, awkward humour he does so
well. he's quickly taking the mantel of master-satirist from
chris morris, mainly because the latter doesn't produce much
anymore. he's the boss.

i loved the first one. i found the second one obvious/so
what vibe, but slick enough to watch. third one was an
entertaining idea but was delivered down a boring avenue. i
blame konnie huq. mind you the first one was so good that
was proper 2011 telly.

This guy wrote Dead Set, eh? That's enough for me! Will be
checking this 3 part series out, as well as more of his
material in the coming days...

(Charlie Brooker's 2011 Wipe, an hour-long review show of
2011, has been commissioned by BBC Four for broadcast in
December 2011)

never? actually im suprised anyone knows, considering how
(rightly) ( like Beyonce / Jay Z ) they keep themselves to
themselves

yeh preferred the 1st. Brooker said he wanted the whole
'twilight zone' sorta vibe going and i think he/they did it.

I lap up everything Brooker does like a dying dog drinking
in the desert so was stoked when I first heard about this. I
think they aired the episodes in order of quality though.
The first one I thought was excellent - started amusingly
and ended uncomfortably; the second one I thought
underwritten but prophetic (amazing fortuitousness to follow
the X Factor final as well) and the third one I agree with
the dude above went downhill from an interesting premise. I
can't fault a program that combines the Twilight Zone with
commentary on our own vapid cunty culture though, and am
hoping it gets renewed. Screenwipe is the tits though, can't
wait for the 2011 round up.

Have to say I found the third one to be my favorite, with
the first one after.

The second one was ok, but it kind of seemed like they were
really trying to hammer in that these people have nothing to
live for besides the shows on tv and a few other superficial
things. Also couldn't empathize with the characters at all.
I guess that was the point, but I didn't think it made for
good tv.

The third one. I really felt bad for that guy, and felt even
worse for the people around him. It kind of haunted me the
next day. I know what its like to go through an emotional
implosion like that. Had their been something like facebook
to stir things up it would have been even worse.

first series had faults but way better. cant see how anyone
like that hunger games episode it was very retard.

the first 3 episodes of utopia were great none of this
guardian chanel 4 in the 00s tone that charlie gets caught
up in very often. i like him but that last episode of black
mirror was shockingly shit and it massively magnfied a few
faults hes always had

It was like a modern version of a public hanging.

The fact the found guilty is reset daily is the most
perverse part of the process. You wake up, feeling a bit
hungover. Slowly it seeps in you're not quite sure where you
are, who you are and what happened. You certainly have no
recollection of commiting any crime.

The 3rd and final episode of this series/season is the first
time i wasn't gripped, and i fell asleep. I was feeling
awful which didn't help. I'll give it a go again.
