First temp ban not enough for you? Have another on me.

Next one is permanent.

xlt would be a poorer place without dobbin, not that a perm
ban has any meaning anyway. i believe waggling your
throbbing modcock around will do no good here ceri

When the ability to spend points on unreleased BoC and AFX
vinyls is implemented once V2 goes live, bans (and the
associated loss of points) will have a much more tangible
consequence.

A couple of years of having been able to run riot unchecked

A few reasons:

1. I wasn't enjoying it and the ratio of pricks:people I
enjoyed swung too far into the prick camp. A lot of the
"people I enjoyed" left shortly before/after this time too,
most of them that I discussed it with, for the same reason.
I have still been in touch elsewhere and IRL in the interim
with my closest zilty buds (I see giginger quite regularly,
despite him living over 100 miles away).

I left quietly, because I hate those silly, self-important
"why I'm leaving" (as if anyone gives a fuck) threads. You
also look like a cock after those rants when you do come
back and I didn't want to rule out the possibility that
maybe one day I'd be back.

2. After my break from XLT, I got more into motorbike forums
where there is a lot of focus on meeting up in the real
world. Consequently, everyone plays nice, because they know
they'll be picking up teeth next time they go out otherwise.
I preferred (and still do) that sort of environment to all
the anonymity and dupe accounts, where some new user who you
have (to your knowledge) no history with, starts kicking off
and it quickly becomes apparent it the dupe account of
someone you used to interact with, but you have no idea
how/why. It comes across like some stranger in the street
coming up to you and starting shit that you have no idea
what it's about. I think I've always been a believer that a
lack of anonymity makes you more inclined to be a bit of a
cunt. I intentionally chose a username that reflected my
real name to encourage me to behave the same as I would in
real life.

3. I am still really into music, but much less IDM these
days, so I have only come back for the LOLs, nostalgia and
the interaction with the people (yourself included) from the
"good old days".

4. I became busier with work and stopped posting on work's
time/in lunch breaks as I used to.

5. My personal life went to hell in a handbasket (but it's
better now).

also nice we do have a mod around here. How is giginger? Say
hello from the peeps from xlt and maybe he returns too. I
also miss some guys from the past but there are still al lot
of "positive" people around. Some of the old peeps turn up
once in while..

I hope you understand that most of the noobs are old-timers
using new accounts? 80% of activity, about 5 posts a day?,
is by old timers. yes, i estimated that right of my big
thumb.

understand why they use new accounts? They all lost their
passwords? Can you explain a bit further?

It's kinda like releasing under new pseudonyms. You don't
have to deal with any prejudices or expectations, and can
play with peoples minds for a bit. I thought that was
obvious, tbh.

If you're using it to have a clean sheet, then off the
record, I don't really a have a problem with that. What I
object to is when someone tries to pick up an old argument,
or reference some supposed past encounter with them (under
their old account, without giving any hint as to who that
might be) and I'm left thinking, "You have been a member 2
days, have 8 posts and I've never spoken to you, why are you
acting as though you have history with me?"

Likewise, always satisfying to put a face to the name and
see what people here are like in the real world.

them or make some new ones.
