I've noticed that children imitate, in tune with dawkins meme theory. So if you, say, yell at a child, they'll learn TO yell at others too more than learning from the information content of the yelling. Stefbot on youtube had some interesting kinda recent 'peaceful parenting' videos. One point he brought up is that we don't punish the elderly with spankings and such so why does society spank children who might have similarly lower than average mental capacities. Maybe she is the 7 billionth person on earth. |
