Look what i just read. Now i can't listen to Michael
Jackson anymore.

The argument that first the people should be changed
before the world can be changed belongs to the old
anti-utopian armory. It leads to a vicious circle, since,
under prevailing external conditions, no such internal
change can ever be expected, and, actually, those who speak
in this way do not even admit its possibility, but rather
assume the eternal and intrinsic badness of human nature,
following the pattern of cynicism
Adorno / Horkheimerce,

i used to work for a woman who had studied philosophy until
she dropped out of uni. her favorite philosopher was adorno.
needless to say she was a depressed bitch, who thought the
greatest joy in life consists in cynical jokes. this coheres
with the other group of east-germans i know, who love of
adorno and who also think the world is truly horrible & that
the only joy in life consists in cracking jokes.

the point i'm getting at is: if one tries to finds out how
one could affirm life one could fail to do that by getting
stuck on adorno. adorno, so to speak, is evil.

He said Michael Jackson.

I was stunned, btw. And still am.

Flabbergasted actually.
