My girlfriend's best friend was planning to get married at the Sandals resort in Negril, Jamaica in late January. We picked our room, booked our flights, scheduled time off from work, laid down a huge deposit to lock everything down and packaged our travel attire. We were damn excited! We got word today that he has cancelled, or "postponed", the wedding for at least a year. Having made all these plans, we're just a bit deflated and looking for opinions on what we should do with our time off. We're talking about 10+ days in late January and early February. Between the two of us we've been to Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, Egypt/Morocco, Alaska, South Africa, Caribbean, Panama, Hawaii and a few I'm probably forgetting. We have agreed that we want to go somewhere that neither of us have ever been before. She's had Jamaica on her mind and is pushing for 'sun and fun', but I'm open to anything. Suggestions please! |
