What if you turn on TRL on MTV to find that one of aphex's
tracks is number one? Would you be happy? sad? angry? or
just confused? but the real question is, what would rich
think of it? would he imbrace his well deserved fame in
america, but i seriously doubt he would sell out like that.

I would laugh if 'Ventolin' made it to number 1. Going
through the supermarket hearing a loud beeeeeeeeeeeeeep in
the background :)

it wouldn't happen,
the last time he noticed his new single "come to daddy"
coasting up the hit charts to # 18, he pulled the album and
put production on hold for two weeks, just so it could drift
back down.

I think electronica should stay completely off typical
charts and have its own charts. How could Aphex POSSIBLY be
on the same charts as Kylie Monouge or some other popular
artist?

the thing about aphex twin, is that it's mostly unmarketable
to any target audience, except for people like us. but most
of us, like myself, hate anything that's played on mtv
and/or radio.

I don't watch Em-pty-V.
but if A.T. is number one on their charts, i would be
amused, and happy.

I think it'd be really cool to see like Come to daddy as
number one, just for a day. i'd laugh, cry, and be happy.

it'd still be cool.
but why place it on a show that has no respect for
humanity?
why not put it on an all idm, or electronic music show?
that's the type of shows they should be playing.
all their stuff is crap.

MTV is where i first saw Aphex Twin, but that gains me
little respect of that sold out piece of shit channel. I
will only respect them once they figure out that people dont
want to see a fucking marothon of "The Real-World" or clips
from last years spring break. We want to hear music, not
five little shits singing pansy songs over fruity loops
beats (you know who you are!) we want to here real music,
music that isent changed to sell albums, music that dosent
care if only one person likes it, music that is made by a
person, not a factory... music like Aphex...

Somehow that went from a comment to a speach frightingly
fast <(0_o)>

Have you noticed they play some of his tracks in the
background on mtv sometimes. I would imagine they had to get
permission and pay money. I dont think thats necessarily a
bad thing i think aphex deserves money. at least hes not
endorsing pepsi or something dancing around like an idiot on
the screen
