better to get a monomachine and use your software stuff for

elektrons gear is inspiring to use in any case. ive used an
md and a monomachine for years and prefer them in certain
situations to other stuff i have. guaranteed you would get a
unique set of results from an octatrack aside from using a
computer.

definitely read the manual, cause watching those dumb
youtube videos ain't gonna tell you much manual link here

The electron sequencers are a huge part of their charm and
the octatrack has the most advanced version with microtiming
and individual track step lengths. That along with it's
LFO's [+lfo designer] would yield a huge amount of
possibilities. From what i've heard it's effects are a step
up in quality from the MM and MD.
