GOAT is amazing, it contends with Liar as my fave JL album.... hard to pick. those days were pretty insane for rock music.
bitch magnet were great as well, and they're reforming for some shows. i wish i could afford the ATP show they're doing, amazing. i always thought Dragoon was a sort of 'proto-Spiderland' type track.

on a related note i've got a sweet spot for scratch acid. it was yow's former band and if i'm not mistaken albini recruited either the bassist or the guitarist for big black.

david wm sims is one of the best bassists to ever play rock music. honestly, how overlooked he is absolutely pains me.
