This guy was a bit of a genius on the synths back in the 70s with the crazy Gong group, some of their back catalogue is worth checking out, beautiful ambient stuff and downright silly stuff sometimes too.
Check out this track from Tim Blake called Synthese Intemporel

You are obviously in your late forties, early fifties but you come across as you are eight? You are a social miss fit what ever you are.

Ok, ok, I understand the sentiment and am wondering which old-skool regular uses this new account. But this attempt at some on-topic content doesn't deserve this kind hostility, imo. At least, not yet.
Disclaimer: haven't listened to the track yet

I've heard some Gong and yes it's pleasant and silly/mad at places but haven't heard much ambience in there. I heard their albums from ~1973-1974, not that mind-blowing really.

This is another great track by an exGong member and also one of the guitarists with the Orb, Steve Hillage from the album Rainbow Dome Musick and the track Garden of Paradise

*hint* there are quite a number of xlt-regulars which travel back and forth between watmm and xlt. obvious cross-posting is not the most tactical thing you can do.
So, I guess you're not an old-skool regular after all.
