"The majority of grown up Americans hates children. They
disguise this hate as concern, but it is in fact hostility
pure and simple. They say that they will wrap the young ones
in wool but pull it over their eyes instead. Adolescents are
forbidden to stay out late, to smoke, to taste beer and
liquor, etc. All endorsed by The White House. All in the
best interest of the young, it is said. But I say all to
ensure that they do not find out about adult pleasures, that
they do not get wiser through experimentation, that they do
not learn how to deal with temptations. And the results? We
never had so many 13 year old smokers as we have now. The
number of adolescent mothers and fathers is extremely high,
too. This is the effects of censorship, the effects of being
exposed to the all-American antis."

i don't agree totally...

on the core of what is expressed in this quote, that the
american elders censor everything...VERY true, and if you
compare to other countries ie. germany, where (i'm told) you
can drink at the age or 16, we look very totalitarian; and
we very much are. But I and many other americans feel that
this is not to protect, yet to control...the american govt,
was slowly becoming a H.G Wells tyrany, now...since the new
propaganda/oil/terrorism war we've initiated...we're
galloping towards this grim vision. The sad thing is that
we're being lied to...constantly...by our own govt. I'm not
talking "aliens," but more realistic conspirasies like media
censorship, and manipulation of other pieces of
information...and in this infomation age we've
developed...that's all we as a spieces can really hold onto
anymore...

...sad, turely sad...and there's nothing we can do about
it...

I once read an american article in the web starting like
this:

'How about our friends England? Get in the children’s
safety seat and shuttup! France? Thanks for all the kind
post-9/11 words about solidarity, but when it comes to the
actual work of bombing and subjugating other peoples,
don’t call us, we’ll call you—we don’t like
has-beens slowing us down. Russia? Tchya, right. Have you
ever seen anything more abject in your life than Russia
rushing to be the first to visit America’s sick bed after
9/11, in spite of all the times we’ve fucked them in the
ass over the past decade... only to get fucked by us in the
ass YET AGAIN. “Thanks for offering us bases in Central
Asia, Russia. Now that we’re here, we think we’ll stay.
You don’t like it? Hey, all we have to do is dangle a few
billion dollars in front of your faces, and you’ll roll on
your backs again.'

the system is set up to make us feel that we can, but turely
we can't. it's a lot like amway, or any other MLM...the ppl
on the top get the most, while the ppl directly under them
make crap and workd their asses off, and the ppl at the
bottom get raped.

speaking metaphoricaly, i've been a constant "stand" in the
social gears all my life...and have realized that unless
your "buddy buddy" with the boss, your fucked.

on a more serious matter, anything that's in our political
sys that amounted to anything has always been a double edged
blade...either that or sold off to the corporations...

i'm not to political, and some of the aspects of the
begining of that article are pretaining to other countries
aid towards us in wars that i was to young to be involved in
(no, not vietnam...the gulf war), but the piece about russia
is very true. Once 9/11 hit, everyone came first thing to
aid thinking that they could get on our good graces for the
counter-attack, but we knew that IF we countered, it
wouldn't be until a LONG time from now, and we decided to
take advantage...

Totally agree Nano. This is seen in the education system
and any level of authority, be it police or popular
parenting. We are tought to praise education as if you
can't learn anything from experience, but the education
system is not designed to free our thinking of limi
tations, but to dircect it down the "right path". Most of
my instructors at the uni are obsessed with authority and
you better not challange what you are being tought cause
these are some defensive motha fuckers. Don't even get me
started with the polics (in general; I have met some good
ones). There is no reason among the enforcers of law.
Think not, just do as you should according to the man! It's
so sad.
