No. If you try to speek french here, people will point at you and laugh and then suggest that you try the poutine "its delishus" and then overcharge you.
Je ne pas parle francaise.

ok.. youll want to go to WESTERN Canada.. beacause {and no offence to you easterners here} but the EAST is boring in Canada... or atleast I think so..... but from the sounds of it your comin over to the WEST.
Do you want to see cities? Mountains {most wonderful mountains in the world}, or what?..... if you want cities go to vancouver, or victoria out west..... if you want mountains head to BRITISH COLUMBIA or ALBERTA.....
tell me more info and I can help a lot.

Hey Reflex, tell me some mountain info. If you know some good websites with information on hiking and camping in very very scenic places, tell me. I am willing to rent a car for 1-2 weeks and cruise around the country.

well, you must tell us what you would be interested in seeing. there are so many things to go to see here in canada, but you must guide us. i can tell you about labrador, quebec, alberta, the great white north... others will be able to tell you about the west, the pairies, ontario, etc...

sorry, i didn't see that post... you best look out west for all that stuff, skiing and all that. but the great white north is also interesting for bears, snow, barren land vistas.

I am interested mnainly in high mountains.Even in hiking to the top.
I need tourist guides or some manuals where to start to plan.
If the mountains are combined with national parks and lakes, or other interesting things that is only making things better.
Thanks

Montreal in the summer. by thethirdball
Montreal in the summer is fucking fantastic. The women are fucking incredible. The beer is cheap and good. World-class comedy, jazz festivals. You can get by without French. The end.

What about good beer hang outs in montreal? I like "Mondo Fritz" next to schwartz's for their menu (good burgers, etc), and lots of different beer. Then there is "http://montrealplus.ca/E/V/MTLQC/0012/68/26/" > Bières et Compagnie, and le Barouf is good too.

there are few places as beautiful and 'somewhat' pristine as alaska and canada =)
i've traveled there my whole life....my first trip was Vancouver at 6 mos. old so perhaps thats why that place has this draw on me.
i would recommend trying to get a small plane to take you into the interior of alaska....great hiking and fly fishing if thats your fancy.
if deep sea fishing is your fancy try homer alaska for some halibut fishing...*the best fish in the world IMO* =)
there is lots of sea kyacking in both alaska and canada.....and white water rafting is a MUST.....only during the summer tho...i've been in juneau and whistler on guided trips!
ahhhh.......you're gonna love it...take lots of film, you'll need it!!!

well, if you're going for scenery, and that kind of stuff, Newfoundland is a very very nice place... hmmm, well you can start at Signal Hill... it's pretty easy to find, as you can probably see it anywhere in St. John's... they probably have tourist info there, and then you can work your way through St. John's, or even Newfoundland if you're really THAT strange ;)...
Newfoundland is a nice quaint place though, St. John's is pretty modern, but the rural parts of Newfoundland is still pretty old fashioned and traditional if you want to check all that out... I'm just sick of it here cause I've lived here all me life... :)
