you mean the first one? yes arab synth is like trumpets for
afro-cuban music

watch out this last post party is full of those just-things

ah...
gotcha...you are talking about 80s music for the masses in
general, while I was refering to a specific ironically
titled album by Depeche Mode..

sorry for hijacking your thread, it has a good title for my
purposes

depeche mode are cool, shame that your thread was ignored

get used to it, this mb is full of ignoring assholes

i always like to think people can get stuff by themselves if
pointed to a direction

the fact that most of the times i have to explain my points,
and when i end up with simple explanations, i like it even
more

Whenever I see this thread I start wondering if I enjoy this
album as much as other DM albums and as much as I enjoyed it
as a teen. Not my absolute favourite these days. Tracks
1,2,3,6,9 have not aged much, I still enjoy playing them.
That's my opinion 2011.

I had Violator playing in the car the past few days. That
and Songs of Faith & Devotion were the ones I was most
familiar with.

The 80s stuff is cool enough if it comes on the radio but
overall it is a little past my threshold.

all tracks, except Pimpf, are pure class.

the album should've ended with 'nothing', one of their most
underrated tracks imo.

yeah, Pimpf. ohhhh heeee ohhhhh heeee....I once went to a
regular DM fan party where there was a tradition: Pimpf was
played at midnight and then some of the fans laid on the
floor and others danced around them in a circle. Funny
stuff.
