i cant help feeling that if you can produce 3 albums in such
a short time, it will most likely be shit or concept albums.
i will give this a chance tho - seems that the things i like
came out on (not surprisingly) weme and rephlex.

what a nice thing to say about one of the most humble and
creative artists over the last 15yrs. also one that always
brings the good vibes to the beats.

this is a messageboard you idiot, i can say whatever the
fuck i feel like. i expressed my opinion, it doesnt matter
if he hold the holy grail of creativity and humbleness -
which i honestly think is bullshit. yes he made quite a few
nice albums - i can agree to that extend. that doesnt
prevent me from expressing my bafflement over someone who
just put out 3 albums? venetian snares being the prime
example.

anyways, i have only given quones a listen, mostly misses,
actually i only somewhat liked the title track. also, it
sounds kind of dated, the sound being pinned out 2 years ago
with jamie vex'd.

i retract the last part of this message, confused quones
with something else.

I agree with you although I would've put it in another way.

Today I had a song from Vatican Nitez passing by on my iPod
and thought about the sound he produced until this album and
everything what came after it. All the stuff from Pure Rock
onwards is uncomparable with Afterlife, Cradle of History
and Vatican Nitez. The playful sound he had is gone.

But this counts for a lot of acts from that period in my
opinion. For example, older u-ziq, DMX Krew, Jimmy Tenor,
D'arcangelo, Gescom, LFO and Autechre are uncomparable to
their current output. I guess they all lost their innocence.
Or is it simply the spirit of the age? Like 60's music can't
be redone nowadays.

wonder what lies behind this phenomenon, but i sceond that
for d´arcangelo and especially and foremost for dmx krew.
but maybe its just what you want to do and after a while you
want to do something else, simple as that.
moods and styles you enjoy making or achieving just change.
