i'm listening to this sandwell district leak and i like the
way it is put together

you could say it's cohesive just reading the tracklist, but
that's not the point. it gives the feeling of being a single
work from the beginning to the end, so to make the ears able
to tune to its own timeline without to much hassle.

it's the kind of feeling you have with some albums, not just
techno. brisk's ambient is a brilliant example.

reccomend away,

flying lotus' cosmogramma is the best example of an "album"
to come out in years.

also rudi zygadlo's great western laymen fits the bill
somewhat - it does have 'individual' tracks, but they flow
in and out of each other lovelylylyly.

Some examples from different genres.

Kyuss - Sky Valley
Delarosa & Asora - Agony Pt. 1
The Holy Modal Rounders - Indian War Whoop (my brother
vouches for it, I haven't heard it)
Current 93 - Thunder Perfect Mind (controversial, but after
listening to it 20 times I regard it as an indivisible work
of cheesy folk avantgarde)
Coil - Musick to Play in the Dark Vol. 2
