The Making of The Red Book
It says it's a "making of", but it has me thinking of some Hollywood trailer for the new National Treasure. I find it hilarious, especially around 30 sec ("decades has passed since anyone has seen this"), and how he caresses the book. A commenter sums it up quite well:
"LOL The way they are talking about this it sounds like a magic grimorie from a horror movie or something."

Would Jung have wanted his work to be mythologized like this?
Anyway KOYAANSISQATSI

A commenter makes a nice point: "Perhaps those who think this work is satanic merely don't understand it: Glass is exemplifying Koyananisqatsi, or "out of balance" by reversing the roles between the organ, a usually low and unexpressive instrument, and voices, which are highly expressive. Instead, the voices are low and unchanging (like the organ), while the organ is producing the most emotion (almost as if the organ is singing). By reversing these roles, Glass is effectively able to create Koyaanisqatsi."

I reckon he'd be rolling around in his grave if he saw that video. It's surprising how many younger people has bought it (apparently), it's quite expensive. It seems to me to be the same lot who's hooked on all the 2012 nonsense and new age feelgood-ism.

I reckon Jung has been important for new age coming to be in the first place.
He's still interesting though: combining Western ideas with Eastern ones. Maybe I'll look into this red book.

Well, yeah, maybe, I've always felt it has more to do with The-Beatles-going-to-India, that sort of thing. ;)

Why are there people who take Jung seriously? Is there something I'm not getting?

It offers an alternative to the did-you-have-a-tough-childhood psychology. It makes our world and dreams a little more magical and anchored in a mythological past.
I suppose.

Oliver Sacks, yeah I guess? He seems alright but that's because he's a neurologist. It's hard to think of a psychoanalyst who's not at least a little full of shit.

CG Jung. Carl Gustav... But the name was originally "Computer Graphics" Jung, who was a CG hologram; autonomous and intelligent, developed in 2035 and sent to the past with future knowledge.
