Found one of these locally for $1000. I watched a youtube
video with someone demo'ing it and loved the sound. They
seem to be fairly rare, is the price about right on this?

Also, since this has no midi, do i just run its audio outs
to a recording interface like I would a guitar?

Would recording it digitally into a daw in this fashion be a
good idea? I'm pretty newb in this analogue regard, but very
interested in this thing. If anyone has any info or advice i
would appreciate it.

I don't know anything about this synth specifically, but:

With or without midi you would record an analogue synth
straight into a daw much like a guitar.

The thing about having no midi is that there can be no
automation, so your keyboard skills best be up to scratch as
you will have to record everything live.

I'd say that this keyboard would be suited to a certain type
of music, without automation dance styles may be more
difficult.

unless of course you wanted to go down a more expensive all
analogue route and get an analogue mixer.

that could be an expensive road to go down

one of those machines you could find for 20 dollars or
1000.... so, there is no reasonable price.... just what
youre willing to pay and how hard youre willing to look for
a cheaper one. if youre in the usa, craigslist will probably
be much cheaper than ebay
