Is IDM political?

Well actually i do not hear any political messages in
Autechres music, but one must ask if not certain aesthetics
transport certain values through music, which actually do
have a political background.A simple example would be the
monotonous beat of a techno record, if that is some kind of
reactionary affirmation of society...

Yes, there is a hedonistic strain within dance music, which
is good! But where do you draw the line?

Welt) finden.
Steht für die Gebote ein und betet.

Yo, seriously. I am not talking about some fake culture in
contrast to 'real' culture. I want to find the ideological,
historical and political artifacts in the music itself! Just
like you know Adorno, Marx and Derrida

I think Richard D James' talent for music came from his
soulful African predecessors, just like a precious Ginger
newborn comes from the badass black Francois Langur
ginger

Kraftwerk could probably scare a lot of American politics.
Or any for that matter. Trying to manipulate the public and
shovel their bullshit into mouths -- electro robots aren't
affected. TRY AGAIN.

Then for some reason the ATF burst into one's home cuz all
of a sudden one is labeled "a cult", but then the whole
house is just filled with electro robots.

"Cannot be intimidated. TRY AGAIN."

Ye olde ATR seems like they'd be a good weapon against
oppression, but since they are (were) angry, that means they
have already partially lost.
