But anyway: I just uploaded this. Just a MD UW jam, for
lack of time, lots of preparation in the machine and then
just recorded, no editing.
Would love to read what you think!
Its called Abras (Fu)

nice beats, it's just a MD playing? I never played with one
so I'm curious, is this track made with stock samples?

This is just Machindrum, mostly my own samples, one or two
sounds may be internal (I think I should use those more,
actually, as the extent to which they can be manipulated is
just staggering).

Yes, familiar with that score. Still haven't seen the movie.
Wanted to, but something tells me I might not have the
stomach for it.

As far as the track goes, I liked it, listed to it quite a
few times. Don't have much to say about it other than that.
It really makes me want to get a machine drum.

Its been mind altering. Not kidding; it makes me want to
make music more than ever. I am still kind of awkward with
it and getting used to it, so there have been a lot of neat
happy accidents.

That's how it's supposed to be. Same with me MD.

My two major gripes (more a climatization issue than
anything) are;

the fact that you can load kits but not presets, so you if
came up with an amazing sound earlier, you can't just pull
up that one, you have to load the entire kit, or make the
sound from scratch.

if you change a bunch of sound settings in a sequence and
then shut the device off, it will remember the sequence as
you last left it, but the sounds will default to the last
saved patch. I have lost some amazing work because of this
so far. Just need to get into the habit of remembering to
save my kits more. Its the last thing you are thinking about
after an intense session of music-making tho.

I can related to the last paragraph you wrote. It happened
to me as well. I'm more of a "Save as" type.
On my +Drive, you have to store the snapshot and I think
then everything's contained within it.
