It's not an experiment you can conduct. It's supposed to
illustrate the mechanism of influencing the observed thing
by the observer on a bigger than corpuscular level. This is
supposed to make the idea more understandable to
non-scientists and in the meantime show how our common sense
is not suited to solving problems in the nano-world.

It's as if you made a machine that could stop time for 1
second. You wouldn't be able to see what happens when the
time is still, would you? Just a mechanism you cannot get
around.
