Southpark is still great! The haters need Southpark to feel
they are an individual more than Southpark needs them.
Southpark.

I haven't watched it in some time but I wish they'd go back
to having interesting characters and situations and stuff
instead of pushing formulaic episodes about whatever new
vaguely relevant issue.

I have an open mind for every series. and I even download
the latest south park episode once in a while when I'm in
the mood for something funny.

it never delivers.

true, but at least when its topical its up to date and
relevant, unlike some other well known long running comedy
animation

True it's formulaic but I just enjoy the four young strong
characters opinions on topical stuff. It will age badly but
you can watch 'Waiting for Godot' as well.

If it wasn't for topical events dictating South Parks
episodes, the show would have gone of the air many, many
seasons ago. They said it themselves that The Simpsons
already did it... theres only so much material you can use
UNLESS you steal from popular social commentary.

South Park could essential live forever and if the last 2
episodes are anything to go by, this isn't a bad thing.

Yeah let's put out a cartoon that makes fun of current
topical events, no one has done that before. Why? There are
so many more ways to Lolburg if they'd just put some effort
into it. I used to like South Park, now i find it highly
annoying and childish and stupid.

make a cartoon, wait for muslims to get angry and offended,
wait for muslims to threaten infidels, wait as no 'moderate
muslims' speak out against those threats, ask yourself why
we keep treating these barbaric lunatics with any respect
while they keep demanding that we do, say, create or even
think only the things they approve of, in our own non-muslim
countries.

a cartoon like this one rightfully and artfully points out
the absurdness of the situation. well done stone and
parker.

fuck you, islam!

That didn't make sense, would you REALLY think i'd still be
watching this shit if i thought it was shit? Other than that
i should ignore whatever i don't like? When was the last
time you said you hated something then, so i can punch you
in the teeth incase i completely LOVE it.

offline pulseclock from Downtown 81 on 2010-04-21 01:29 [#02377194]

Well first i asked who you were referring to when you said
"We don't need this, we're not kids"

Also you aren't being forced to accept what they write for
their T.V. show. So why are you against it? They've recieved
death threats, i'm sure they know what they're getting
themselves into.

i recently made the decision to focus on the things that i
can appreciate. Hating really gets you nowhere. But let's
see the last time i said i hated something was probably
about my own habitual masturbation, which i'm proud to say
i've stopped.

:)

theo was an asshole , not funny and over rated. why would
you systematically in your columns call muslims 'sheep
fuckers'. it's character murder of a whole social group

if theo was an asshole, then what are you for basically
implying he got what he deserved? nobody should be murdered
for being an asshole.

as for 'social group murder', if you are simple enough to
feel offended as a group by one guy calling you
sheepfuckers, then you probably need psychological
counseling. imagine what would happen if all of us went into
mass hysteria every time someone offended us.

a constant and relentless mockery of islam (and all other
religions for that matter) is very much needed in these
times. Theo knew that if you can't say certain things
without people wanting to literally kill you, there is no
point in saying anything at all. Maybe you are more in favor
of the 'stick your head in the sand' idea?

and of course, there are nice and friendly muslims, but they
are still part of a cult that in its basic teachings calls
for some of the most extreme crimes against humanity.
Leaving islam is not an option for most. The system thrives
on this form of oppression. you can't have your faith and
just ignore the things you don't like about it.

RIP Theo van Gogh

no he was just an asshole that was showing off to his self
indulged group of friends

i did want him not to be published for sure. there was
nothing smart, true or funny about his columns. but that's
my opinion.

of course i didn't want to have him killed. as far as i'm
concerned it was just an individual nut that did that.

the system thrives on this form of oppression.
not really

you can't have your faith and just ignore the things you
don't like about it.
i think you can

and ... Big,... he didn't quote sheepfuckers, i'm not even
gonna say the correct word to you, since it's bullocks. The
thing is that , we (or a number of we) don't need no
infantile remarks about a deaththreat to the makers of a
