US Army Intel leaks on wikileaks

No they didn't. I never said they did. I referred to him as
the "dying reuters reporter" as an identifier, so you'd know
who I was talking about.

pulseclock, yes i was at the show. it was good. kode9 was
boring. horrible.

"elusive still hasn't responded to the fact that they
proceeded to obliterate a van and obviously unarmed people
who were trying to help the dying reuters man. "

they were gathering weapons and insurgents to carry them
away.

the van didn't have a medic sign on it (rules of
engagement).

"Also, elusive, get off your fucking high horse. Talking
down
to people, basically telling them that they can come back
and debate war and politics with you once they've learned
as
much as you know about weapons of killing makes you come
off
sounding not just like a complete arsehole, but one of
those
creepy gun-nut loons that everyone hates. "

im pretty sure i was just pointing out everyone on the nets
is drawing their disgust and conclusions from the luxury of
their computer chair in their air conditioned home while
listening to ambient musics.

just trying to put it into context. you are not in the
emotional / heightened state to understand the moment. you
also had every little thing pointed out for you
(highlighted) in the video, and the opportunity to rewind
over and over before you draw your conclusion on what is
correct / what went wrong / what should have been done.

just understand that in the live world, sometimes you do not
have those luxuries.

that's the only point i was trying to make.
the environment of which you watched the video is not in the
same context as the time and place that the video was taken.
..and your emotions reflect this.

there are places in this world where people cannot make
money other than that way or become a soldier of the
anti-state, realize this

in the country where i live, at the time of the compulsory
military service, soldiers were the last layer of the
society and conscientious objectors were either catholic
masons or pricks full of money, who happened to know this or
that officer.

fascism and bigots unite inn corruption and pick up human
material from the poor and the ignorant, such news

you can't ask one that has been brainwashed in order to
consider himself a walking piece of meat to have higher
values in a situiation like that, it's well hypocritical

oh and war sucksâ„¢

Let's Godwin this up a bit.

Because look, guys. Killing millions of Jews is ugly. It's
hell. And it's easy to pick flaws from the comfort of your
home, taking things out of context, when you're not caught
up in national fervor and widespread antisemitism. But
that's genocide for you. What can you do?

That was your other point. The fact that it's easy to pick
it apart from the comfort of your own armchair.

That point was completely discrete from you saying:

"if you want to lecture me on the weapons systems of the
ah-64, then you got some serious street credit to build. "

"no, you've just never been in a combat scenario - so you
don't really have room to talk.

nor, from your language, do i think you've ever been in the
professional workforce, either. "

etc

Also, I already pre-empted your "THEY WERE TAKING AWAY THE
GUNS" bit that everyone's falling back on, but you managed
to conveniently ignore that, and instead just reiterate the
point. Which I had already addressed.

PORICK,
stop taking my shit out of context.
i said ""if you want to lecture me on the weapons systems of
the
ah-64, then you got some serious street credit to build. ""
in response to kei9 talking about what the gunner sees,
when, etc.

the shooters lied to their command, they said they were
shooting at them (shooting pictures maybe) only to get the
OK to fire upon them. it's hard to not see this as trigger
happy soldiers wanting to shoot stuff up.

you can also hear his wishful thinking about that wounded
crawling guy picking up a gun. and how anxious they were to
shoot the van.

and OK, that is incorrect. watch the unedited video
and read the reports... the choppers were called in because
the ground forces were taking fire. they're not trigger
happy. get the full fucking story first, instead of
crusading on an internet witch hunt.

you failed. the rest of the internet came to that
conclusion today.

yep, keep letting your emotions override a combat scenario
where tensions are high, OK !! it's ok to admit you were
wrong and hopped on an internet bandwagon and let your
emotions get the best of you ... when you clearly don't have
any idea how the shit works in the real world until you have
a video point it out for you.

let me break it down for you:
-reporter hanging out with insurgents to get great photos
(that his colleagues were probably jealous of)..."how does
he keep getting these great shots !?"
-reporter was not wearing any tags/creds/anything to signify
himself that he was a journalist/photographer/etc
-he was hanging around insurgents with live RPG
round/weapons
-he was hanging around the area where small arms/RPG were
reported (hence the reason the air support was called in

it's his own damn fault... period.

did you read the reports? did you do any research? do you
know how combat situations like this work? did you even
watch the full, unedited video? or just the wikileaks broken
down one. or don't you have that kind of attention span,
once you already have your mind made up on "who was right
and who was wrong" ...

with RPGs in the area, it's pretty much kill or be killed.
the whole reason they were there was because ground forces
were taking small arms fire.

IT IS A WAR ZONE. IF YOU'RE HANGING AROUND THAN YOU ARE
AN IDIOT. IF YOU ARE HANGING WITH INSURGENTS TO GET THAT
GREAT "SHOT" TO MAKE YOUR CAREER WITHOUT ANY CREDENTIALS ON,
YOU ARE AN IDIOT.

it's a war zone
get over it. war is ugly and unpredictable. and ugly.

if you're hanging around insurgents with AK/small arms + RPG
moments after they were engaged with US forces (e.g. the
reason why the air support was called in the first place) -
you're an idiot.

if i were in iraq (a local) - i sure as hell would stay away
from anyone flashin' an RPG.

ice cube didn't even have to use his AK

"did you read the reports? did you do any research? do you
know how combat situations like this work?"

Elusive's "research" in this field is fairly comprehensive -
it consists of checking reddit once daily.

Also, all those times war photographers and journalists
embedded with US forces were shot, or captured and executed,
I hope you told everyone you thought they were a fucking
idiot and were asking for it, Elusive.

Or didn't you, since they were embedded with the good guys?

more assumptions from you on what i know or what ive
researched.

"Also, all those times war photographers and journalists

executed,

idiot and were asking for it, Elusive. "

you're still missing the point and being blinded by
emotions from the comfort of your home / not living in a
war-time situation
- the photographer wasn't following
protocol. he didn't have any credentials, nor did reuters
even report that they had any men in the area that day.

this guy went off on his own, hanging around with insurgents
to get great shots for his career.

how can you even compare previous captured journalists who
clearly label themselves as media, like they're supposed to
--- versus this guy who took great risks to get great
shots???

are you completely ignoring this massive fact that he
basically put himself in this position?

hanging in the vicinity / next to insurgents engaged in
battle with US forces, especially with loitering RPG rounds,
and you expect not to get shot at?

So true because every American thinks like what Trey Parker
and Matt Stone portray on South Park.

Anyways there are too many blanket statements by both sides
of the argument, the fact that the Reuters man was killed is
obviously not favorable. Even the U.S. involvement in Iraq
in the first place is wrong, but the situations that occur
as a result of U.S. Troops being militarized there should
not just be overlooked as pigheaded and wrong, because
American troops are just doing their duties to protect their
national security by opposing these insurgents who want to
destroy them. and if you're near the line of fire so to
speak, then you're more than likely going to be shot.

so, this went on and on. elusive, pulseclock you are both
wrong. get over it. or fuck you both.

elusive, really man, if you were here, this would turn into
a combat scenario cause I would be bashing my bottle of rum
against your face. stop saying "you were never in a combat
scenario, you were never in a combat scenario" I mean we
already know you are stupid, buddy. you were never in a
combat scenario either, and nobody cares. this is simple
stuff really. the discussion is not about what would you do
if a guy like kei9' was stabbing you in the face with half a
bottle of beer, of course you would try to fight back. but
this is not the situation we see in the vid, the people
there were walking around. I see no "combat scenario" there.
I mean if I was trying to kill you i would be ducked behind
some boxed trying not to be seen by you. do you understand
what I mean? and If I stabbed you in the back and killed you
there would be only one word for that action, that is
MURDER. and thats what we see in the video. so shut up man.
you want a combat scenario? Ill piss on your corpse and talk
about it with kyle "haha sorry" fuck that! this guys where
in the fucking sky shooting bullets at people because they
walked the wrong way. and if you think the reuters dudes
were idiots for hanging about with "insurgents" to "get
good pics" then this guys in the "ah-64" are fucking idiots
for joining the army to get some money and if I was flying
that "ah-64" listening to "kyle" speak I would just ram the
damn thing against the nearest cliff. and you would cry "oh
my precius ah-64, it had been in a combat scenario that
fucking mexican dude just couldnt deal with it. could do his
job couldnt deal with a combat scenario I told him so"

dunno what elusive said cos its really long and a bit
boring. but...well i've seen other footage like this, non of
what happened surprised me. its sad but im not shocked or
outraged. everything that happened is exactly how it always
goes with the us military flying around. if i saw lots of
dead bodies and a us helicopter circling the destruction i
wouldnt pull up in a van (and definitely not with children
in the back) without expecting a lot of trouble.
i like this vid. i guess its a good example of exactly how
everything happens in iraq. people get shot at and
everything spills into escalated shit cos the army protocol
is paranoid and the civilians are desperate/clueless/caught
in the wrong place wrong time.
