I think first you have to know what are your believes. Do you accept logic, or for example you accept religious path, or maybe you trust your emotions - intuition (something gota be there and there).
First path leads for even more questions and bunch of hypothesizes. Second one and others is mostly based on dogmas.
There is no straight answers thats for sure. But you can "build" your own universe, which maybe will be destroyed by more smarter people than you are (destroyed with arguments). Then you rebuild everything on more stable foundations and so on.
I think it is very important for everyone to have, not the answers to these questions, but to have specific position which could hold all contra arguments. Naturally if it is dogma contra arguments cant be made, therefore you cant seek perfection in this way, you are already "perfect". Thats why I think philosophy is important for us.
