but theres a certain sound there. im not saying its my kind of thing cos i dont think it is but, like i said it's distinct. i cant agree that it lacks emotion but it does make me feel cold. |

I don't mean tribal in the African sense, I mean the total opposite. I mean tribal in a paganistic way, absolutely no "funk" Just lots of people feeling a certain thing together (probably a huge graphite cock). |

no i think it feels really lonely (the terminator stuff) like its somehow a very personalised claustrophobic thing. i never really noticed how tragic/romantic it sounds, yet its brimming with dread. its almost silly but i think the overall composition holds it down as a seriously good piece of work |

I do like the Terminator soundtrack too. You're right in your claustrophobic description of it.. I don't think emotion was necessarily what he wanted to gain from it anyway, considering the subject matter. The love theme on piano is nice and cheesy and works well. It's not on the level of Vangelis' score for Blade Runner, but they're very different films. |
