the music, or the game? The game was maddening and really
the music isn't that special it's just one of the first
video games I ever played and thus is extremely nostalgic.

I think it's neat to see and hear the variations in
different versions of a certain game, with all their little
permutations. How the "red spring" sounds different on every
version of Sonic from Master System to Megadrive to Neo Geo
pocket, for instance. Then again, I don't have a girlfriend.

It really is, it's daring and beautiful and one of the best
adventure games ever. I replayed it recently and there are
so many things that left me in awe. Like the skeleton scene
for instance, amazing.

Old European video game music is kool

I love this one it's Spanish or something

Astro Marine Corps on the CPC

Shame that the title theme is cut off because it's awesome
as well.

i always liked the ending theme from cosmic spacehead
(skip to 5:25ish). there's something about the megadrive sound
chips that's really subtle and lovely

this is nice too but probably a bit obvious and it
lacks the nostalgia factor since i never had a snes as a
yungun

Contra's title screen gets my vote. They used it to demo
HiFi stereos back in the day. Explosive stuff!

Here's a compilation of funny VG dialog that will surely
make you laugh: http://www.thatvideosite.com/video/the_top_50_worst_video...

i wouldn't bother playing the actual game, its bugged to
fuck, the controls are clumsy and you can die far too often.
the design is lovely though, as is the music
