[ K O N T R O L ]

minimal techno + avant house
every 1st Saturday at The Endup

* Circus Company Showcase *

featuring from Montreal via Berlin:

::: GUILLAUME & THE COUTU DUMONTS - LIVE :::

(Circus Company . Musique RisquÈe . MUTEK_rec)
(Oslo . Karat . Hartchef Discos . Floppy Funk)

Guillaume Coutu Dumont was an active producer and
collaborator and an important fixture of the Montreal
music scene before relocating to Berlin in 2007, where
his profile has only risen since. Incorporating house,
funk, techno, gospel, swing and afro-beat in his "quest
for the ultimate ham bone funk recipe", his solo work
has appeared on many of the world's most respected
labels. He's known for a vivacious live set and has a
stellar new album, "Breaking the Fourth Wall" set to
drop in May, so come prepared to shake it!

and from Paris:

::: SETY :::

(Circus Company . Telegraph . Crosstown Rebels)

Mathias Duchemin aka Sety is head of Paris' widely
adored Circus Company label, and has been an integral
figure in its underground music scene for over a decade
as DJ, producer, and curator. A champion of unique and
unconventional sounds, to date he has released music
by NÙze, Ark, Dave Aju, dOP, Mossa, Guillaume &
the Coutu Dumonts, DJ Koze, and many others.

and the Bay Area's own:

::: DAVE AJU :::

(Circus Company . Context . Musique RisqueÈ)

Hometown hero Dave Aju returns for a third [KONTROL]
appearance, this time behind the decks. A true original
in a world of recyclers, his groundbreaking Circus Co.
album "Open Wide" was a milestone in his stated
misson to "rescue dance music from the blahs." Expect
a specially crafted set of quirky Aju classics, hot new
jams, and microphone antics from this unique artist.
