i use traktor now n then, but i find it slow to switch tracks for when i'm searching for something.

I've used traktor (free version) too, but the last time I made a mix i used mixxx and kinda liked it more than traktor. I'm no super skilled beat dj though...
mixxx is free, open source, etc...

not bad just tried it for ubuntu, good bet matching , it eventualy hung on me but shall try it for windoze and rout it through my daw. with pitch n ting !
