a bit pretentious in my mind... plus, anyone can make noise... musical structure however takes skill and talent...

I downloaded a few of his tracks, and they were absolute sheit. I dont have anything against NOISE (tho I dunno much about tha genre), but it shouldnt be plain annoying......Anyway, "Ryoji Ikeda & Marcus Nicolai - Cyclo", that Album isnt bad, and I would classifie it as LISTENABLE noise....

I had bought Music For Bondage Performance 2, and heard some of his other stuff. I really, really, really have to be in a 'noise' mood to listen to it. Most of the time I am not.
You want to hear some Merzbow for free? Go grab a blender, power drill, electric saw, several buzzers and cuckoo clocks, a vacuum and turn them all on at the same time. And there you have Merzbow for free.

Side note: Autechre does a remix of Ecobondage by Merzbow, if you haven't heard it you might want to check it out.
