if a company causes you trouble and in their rules and regs
they promise to compensate. but fail to. and you try to work
it out with them politely for many many weeks. to no avail.
If i say to them = unless you pay me entitlement i shall
take all my evidence to a broadcaster to warm other
customers of your frightful service. is that blackmail?
Even though I just ask for my entitlement. Which they wish
to keep for themselves to take Jacuzzi's, buy Champaign and
holidays to Zimbabwe to look at rare animals and get nice
sun tans.

Just write a notice telling that you will take legal action
if they don't comply, and they will probably listen to their
own damn rules.

I've never had a problem with Rustler Magazine's customer
service due to lost issues, I suggest you simply ring up and
say you're looking at subscribing to a different publisher's
jazz mag and see if they can offer you a discount to keep
you on as a customer? Usually they can cut you a deal.

i'd say frame it a little more slyly. like instead of"
"compensate me or i go to the news" say, "this is the
situation, you haven't compensated me. i believe i am in the
right and this is my next course of action." it makes you
seem more firm and leaves them in a weaker state, under
explicit rather than implicit threat.

this comes from years experience watching law & order and
boston legal. maybe the philosophy degree helps a little,
but prolly not :P
