I think I know the 'scientific' feeling you are talking about. An absolute perfect song for inducing this state of mind is "Music in Similar Motion" by Philip Glass. Get a copy of the pipe organ renditions of Philip Glass songs for the best music of this type. "Mad Rush" from the organ album might be my favorite song of all time.
